UX Researcher (English/Japanese Bilingual)

We Are Hiring For a Senior Bilingual UX Researcher For a Top Automobile Company In Japan. You Will Be Involved With Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) Product, Enrichen Your Experience As a UX Researcher. Read The Following For More Details

You will be part of the Advanced UX Core team, a team of UX professionals focused on ADAS systems and automated driving technologies. The team is responsible for mass production vehicle’s L2 advanced driver assistance interaction design (driving and parking assistance), service design for L4 automated driving mobility service, and UX research for those products.

You will work collaboratively with project managers, interaction designers, UI and UX designers, 3D designers and engineers, and translators/interpreters. It is a highly international environment so collaboration, transparency, patience, and open communication are critical.

Responsibilities

Identify user research opportunities and collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers.
Define user-centered metrics
Lead user research projects, from ideation through user adoption
Support product designers in a user-centered design process

Minimum Qualifications

4+ years of experience with qualitative research methods at all stages
A portfolio that shows examples of research projects with their measured impact
Spoken and written English and Japanese business fluency.

Nice To Have

Demonstrated quantitative research experience using scripting (Python), analytical packages (R, Matlab) and compiled languages (C++) - we encourage Quantitative Researchers with interest in honing their qualitative research skills to apply.

Automotive Mobile Industry experience.
