Integration Engineer – Krakow – Remote Working Pattern

Role Overview:

We are seeking a talented Integration Platforms Engineer specializing in Event Driven Integration to join our dynamic team. You will play a pivotal role developing and evolving the cloud based Kafka and API Gateway platforms our engineering squads rely upon. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration, optimal performance and scalability is built into the patterns and ways of working we use. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Kafka, cloud computing and API Integration coupled with excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation.

What's the job?:

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities:

  • Develop high quality Integration capabilities in accordance with Kingfisher standards
  • Provide insights for improvements by collecting, analysing, and summarising development and service metrics
  • Actively engages with the Integration Chapter to drive forward improvements in Engineering
  • Ready to assist teams at short notice to collaborate, fix technical issues or provide expertise and guidance
  • Keeps up to date with best practice engineering tools and techniques
  • Work as part of an agile squad delivering business value of a high, maintainable quality
  • Root cause/systemic problem solving
  • Assist in the on-going maintenance of Integration Platforms identifying errors or areas of improvement and implement remedial action as agreed to meet service levels
  • Be part of the support rotas both inside and out of office hours
What you'll bring:

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience of Kafka and API Gateway architectures
  • Engineering experience with tools such as Go, Gitlab, Postgres, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Datadog and Dynatrace
  • Breadth and depth of knowledge of Integration technologies, architecture and principles
  • Developing software to good software engineering principles
  • Experience of build tools such as Git CI
  • Logical and structured approach to problem solving
  • Customer facing development experience
