The Opportunity

We are seeking a hungry, driven Sales Representative to join the MagicPace sales team as we expand our operations across Canada and the US. In this role, you will source, close and manage new clients, understand their needs, and align our solutions to help them achieve their goals. 

About the Role

As Sales Representative, you will close technical recruiting mandates with high growth technology startups. You’ll work directly with our founders to craft new sales strategies and build outbound/outreach campaigns to drive new mandates. You will build relationships with founders and convert them to clients. You’ll also create inroads for referrals with other, complimentary service providers. This is an entrepreneurial role. You will be expected to build your own pipeline and work autonomously to meet/exceed your quota.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build a scalable, repeatable outbound sales pipeline.
  • Build a network of referral sources within the startup ecosystem. 
  • Understand customer objections and recommend tailored solutions. 
  • Prepare customized proposals and close agreements. 
  • Debrief our recruiters for each mandate, ensuring a clear understanding of the role before kicking-off.  
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, identifying upselling and reselling opportunities.
  • Collaborate with recruiters to ensure a seamless search/placement process.
  • Keep accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and transactions in the CRM.
  • Ensure you consistently hit your KPIs/sales quotas.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in sales, preferably in a B2B startup or within the technology sector more broadly (experience selling to startup founders a plus).
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Proactive problem-solving abilities with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
