🚀 Semi-Senior Automation / Quality Assurance Engineer

Your Mission:

Develop, and execute automated tests using TypeScript and Python to ensure the reliability of software systems.
Utilize the Playwright Library to create and maintain automated tests for web applications, ensuring high-quality front-end performance.
Develop and maintain automated API tests to validate backend systems and ensure robust functionality.
Implement and manage automated User Interface (UI) tests to improve end-user experiences.
Identify, track, and resolve software defects and inconsistencies, collaborating closely with the development team.
Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers to maintain high code quality.
Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and environments to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Document test plans, test cases, and test results, ensuring thorough and accurate reporting.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for automated testing and software quality.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Proven experience as a Quality Engineer or in a similar role with a focus on test automation.
Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript for test automation and experience with Python and Pytest for backend testing.
Hands-on experience with Playwright, Cypress, or WebdriverIO for front-end automation.
Strong experience in Automated API Testing and Automated UI Testing.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline platforms such as GitHub Actions to support testing and deployment.
Exposure to cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS, for managing testing environments.
Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and experience working within Agile development processes.
Solid understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) and testing methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with containerization technologies like Docker.
Familiarity with performance and load testing tools such as Locust.
Experience with Postman for API testing.
Experience working with Github Actions workflow YAML files.
Exposure to using mocks for testing to simulate real-world scenarios.

Additional Details:

Location: Anywhere in Mexico (remote work from home)
Eligibility: Only fluent English speakers and legal residents/locals can be considered (directly hired as a fulltime employee).
Contract Type: Direct hire, indefinite contract.
