WHAT YOU'LL DO

The BaaS Operational Review Analyst III will be responsible for testing and validation analysis. Will create and execute test and remediation plans for issues arising from internal/external reviews or business self-identification.


Requirements

HOW YOU'LL DO IT

  • Work with various businesses to create ongoing monitoring practices and develop independent monitoring plans to review business processes, products, and services for adherence to internal policies and standards; and compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Work with employees of the business to develop remediation plans, validation of remediation efforts, and execute and confirm monitoring results.
  • Responsible for providing key stakeholders with timely and accurate reporting on the status of all risk-related issues and events.
  • Work with internal lines of business to ensure risk issues and events are comprehensively captured and closed within established target dates.
  • Develop and implement standards and policies appropriate for the business that conform to the principles and policies established by the department.
  • Develop, execute, and validate remediation plans for assigned business areas, products, and services internally or with third parties.
  • Analyze issues to determine root cause and provide recommendations for remediation plans to management and business.
  • Develop written policies, standards, and procedures for how the remediation and monitoring programs are designed to function.
  • Complete assigned monitoring according to the monitoring plan schedule.
  • Work closely with internal partners to identify process gaps.
  • Work as an agent on the businesses' behalf when working with the 2nd and 3rd lines of defense.
  • Perform review activities that will provide reasonable assurance that controls are designed and operating effectively.
  • Ensure review results are stored according to internal guidelines.
  • Provide feedback to assigned lines of business for areas of concern, and transition into formal action plans.
  • Complete reporting by writing issue statements and developing effective remediation plans and status reports that are clear and concise.
  • Design effective controls and monitoring plans and deliver results and potential findings from monitoring activities to members of management.
  • Adhere to and ensure compliance of all business transactions with policy and process of the Bank Secrecy Act.
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal laws, company procedures and policies.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Proficient knowledge of the operational and technology risk, as well as industry trends that impact Bank operations.
  • Proficient in Risk, Compliance, and Audit competencies.
  • Solid understanding of the business line’s operations, products, services, systems, and associated risks.
  • Solid business acumen and credibility to help business line(s) proactively identify and address risks.
  • Expert level process facilitation, project management, and analytical skills.
  • Proficient presentation, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages, including Microsoft Office applications and word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations.
  • Applicable professional certifications (CPA, CIA, etc.) are preferred. 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or equivalent work experience. 
  • 5 plus years - Testing, audit, quality control or related in banking, fintech or financial services - Minimum
  • 5 years - Compliance - Preferred
