Come Grow with Us and Join an Award-Winning Organization! Stearns Bank is looking for a Credit Analyst. This is a remote-eligible position headquartered out of St. Cloud, Minnesota. 

JOB SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the Credit Supervisor, this position is primarily responsible for analyzing credit applications using appropriate Underwriting documentation, while adhering to Bank Loan Policy and Underwriting Procedures

 

Starting annual salary of $50,000.00. Employment offers will be dependent upon the selected candidate’s relevant qualifications and experience.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Quickly and accurately analyze credit applications and credit related reports.
  • Able to meet credit turnaround requirements as set forth by manager.
  • Demonstrated adequate thoroughness and completeness of analysis available at time of underwriting.
  • Accurately summarize the strengths and weaknesses of an opportunity.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment in recommended decisions.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Bank Loan Policy and Underwriting Procedures.
  • Independently work through the underwriting process and offer recommendation of decision to those with credit authority to issue decision.
  • Respectfully work within the credit limit authority structure to issue decisions.
  • Learn through feedback on collective best practices in risk assessment.
  • Work collaboratively with Sales and other departments to make informed credit decisions.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to receive feedback, and ability to improve comprehensive analysis, and positive attitude.
  • Understand and display company mission, vision, and values.
  • Perform other duties and/or special assignments as needed/assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 lbs.  
  • Literacy in English.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time, twist, bend, sit, walk use hands to twist, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, such as computer mouse, computer keyboard, calculator, stapler, telephone, staple puller, etc., reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, talk, or hear.
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4-year degree in relevant field or combination of education & experience.
  • Work autonomously and being self-reliant to find solutions. 
  • Ability to follow instructions into navigating new servers and systems.
  • Strong oral/written communication skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Flexible.
