The following position is to join our RTX Auditing Team:

RTX has an opening for a Staff Auditor, Internal Audit (Sr. Analyst, Internal Audit) position.

The Staff Auditor/Sr. Staff Auditor, which aligns with RTX Finance, is an exciting and challenging opportunity for a dynamic audit professional who seeks to build on their existing audit and/or business experience through in-depth exposure to a fast-paced international business. The Internal Audit function is developmental in nature and employees are assisted in furthering career goals through training & development and strategic networking. This group is seen as a premiere entry point into the business segments within the company. As an Audit Specialist, you will perform reviews of critical business processes, evaluating effectiveness of internal controls and identifying potential process improvement opportunities.

RTX Internal Audit provides independent and objective assurance services designed to ensure appropriate financial, operational and compliance controls exist and function effectively at RTX. Internal Audit helps RTX accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of risk management, governance, and financial and operational controls in a manner consistent with the Institute of Internal Auditors’ professional practices framework including the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing. 

What You Will Do

• Participate in completing risk-based audits on assigned engagements
• Assess risk of key business processes resulting in the preparation of audit plans and specific audit programs
• Create process maps of significant financial, business, and operational processes to identify potential internal control weaknesses and recommend opportunities for improvement
• Prepare clear and concise audit reports
• Continuous self-improvement including the addition of technical skills, as needed, based on department needs
• Travel to company locations as necessary (in the potential range of 20%-30%)

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically, a minimum of 2+ years exposure in finance, accounting, operations, project or engineering arena and a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related discipline or equivalent combination of related work experience and schooling in lieu of degree; Advanced degree.
• 1+ years experience in business environment
• Current U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Knowledge of SOX, COBIT, COSO and other frameworks
• Desire/ability to obtain one of the following certifications: Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
• Experience in finance, accounting, project management, engineering, or another operational field
• Attained or working towards advanced degree.
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience with project management, performing data analytics, problem solving techniques, and organizational skills.

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
