The Group HR Systems Analyst will plan, lead, direct and support the policies, activities, and campaigns related to MPower (Workday) and HR initiatives for the Marmon Retail Solutions Group (MRS).  Specifically, the role will primarily provide first-line MPower technical support and training for all employees in both Groups.  The balance of the role will specifically support Group-wide HR initiatives as they emerge.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

70% Group MPower Support / HR Business Analyst

  • Collaborates with Marmon HRIS group to handle in-bound MPower issues from the Marmon Retail Solutions Group (MRS)
  • Takes direct calls and email from MRS employees to troubleshoot all MPower issues.
  • Collaborates with the Marmon HRIS group to rollout all new MPower modules, initiatives, training & documentation for the MRS group.
  • Collaborates with HR staff and organizational leadership to determine the short- and long-term system objectives.
  • Assesses current system and utilization; identifies and recommends improvements such as training, customization, and enhancements to maximize value and efficiency of the HRIS.
  • Prepares reports and presents findings and recommendations to the Marmon HRIS team and other company leaders.
  • Identifies, recommends, and programs custom functions and documentation such as automated queries, filters, macros, and reports.
  • Collaborates with other analysts and HRIS staff to plan, modify, and customize the HRIS and to test new applications and features.
  • Prepares training materials, guides, and documentation.
  • Provides user training and hands-on support.
  • Ensures system compliance with data security and privacy requirements.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in HRIS providers, vendors, and technology.

30% Group HR Support

  • Collaborates with HR Leadership in MRS to support Group wide initiative coordinating, communications and tracking/reporting
  • Provides training support when/where needed, including facilitation
  • Provides remote & on-site HR admin support at businesses requiring extra HR support due to vacations, leaves or terminations
  • Will be trained and expected to support payroll processing within some group BUs where needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, Information Technology, or related field required.
  • At least three years of experience with HR business systems; experience with Workday highly preferred and payroll processing experience a plus.
  • Workday Recruiting experience a plus.
  • HR Generalist experience a plus.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with Human Resources policies and procedures to ensure the HRIS meets organizational needs and goals.
  • Ability to keep information confidential.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Thorough understanding of functional analysis and system design.
  • Thorough understanding of all areas of information systems with a highly technical understanding of at least one commercial HRIS product.
  • Domestic travel required; up to 25%
