Job description

Overview:

Tier One Technologies has an immediate need for a QA Test Engineer to perform formal software application testing activities for our US Government client.
This will be a 100% remote Contract-to-Hire position.
SELECTED CANDIDATES WITHOUT REQUIRED CLEARANCE WILL BE SUBJECT TO A FEDERAL GOVERNMENT BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION TO RECEIVE IT.

Responsibilities:

Analyze user/business software system requirements and write appropriate test cases to validate that all business rules are being followed.
Review user requirements documentation; assists in development of test plans.
Develop test data to be used in performing tests; and transform test plans into test scripts.
Ensure proper execution of test scripts and documentation of test results in tracking systems.
Analyze test results, documents conclusions, and make recommendations that are fully supported by test results.
Work on high-visibility programs, or mission critical aspects of assigned program(s).

Qualifications:

A degree from an accredited College/University in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related discipline is preferred.
7+ years of experience with writing and executing test scripts.
Working knowledge of Manual and Automated test script writing and executing.
Prior experience utilizing Selenium testing tools.
Prior experience utilizing Unified Functional Testing (UFT) testing tools.
Basic to advanced SQL (SQL developer) and Unix skills.
Basic understanding of API calls.
Familiarity with ALM (Application Lifecycle Management), Change Management and Configuration Management (VersionOne, ServiceNow, etc.).
Excellent communication skills.
Must be able to obtain Public Trust Clearance.
Be able to pass a drug screening, criminal history, and credit checks.
Must be a US Citizen or have permanent residence status (Green Card).
Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last 5 years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members.)
