About the Role
As a first point of contact with both internal and external stakeholders, the Accommodation Coordinator is a pivotal position within the Flinders Rural and Remote Health Northern Territory Programs.
Key responsibilities include:
The incumbent will be required to reside in one of these regions and travel within the RRH NT footprint as necessary. Campus locations include:
Alice Springs | Arrernte Country
Darwin | Larrakia Country
Katherine | Jawoyn, Dagoman and Wardaman Country
Nhulunbuy | Yolngu Country
Tennant Creek | Warumungu Country

A current driver’s licence is essential for this position
About You
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience, or equivalent combination of experience and/or education and/or training
Experience in the development and support of student accommodation and administration for multiple sites across NT rural and/or remote areas
Well-developed skills with Microsoft Office suite and experience using complex booking and financial management systems relevant to accommodation such as StarRez
Commitment to continuous business process improvement initiatives to evaluate business systems, policies, processes and procedures and generating solutions
Project management skills and the ability to exercise initiative, establish priorities, problem solve and meet deadlines
Strong communication, customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise and negotiate with a wide range of university staff and external stakeholders to establish effective strategic partnerships.

About Flinders Rural and Remote Health NT
At Flinders Rural and Remote Health NT, our aim is to be a hub for innovative health research, education, and workforce development across the Northern Territory. We engage with students, community, and stakeholders to provide critical programs, such as the Northern Territory Medical Program, Paramedicine, Rural Clinical School, and the University Department of Rural Health.
Our postgraduate education pathways (Remote Health Practice program), provides workforce development through Indigenous health and clinical skills training, and we have a community driven research program led by researchers committed to improving health outcomes. We work alongside Poche SA+NT focussing on Indigenous leadership capacity development and developing the Indigenous health workforce. All activities are driven by our values which focus on the long-term and short-term needs of the NT community.

A valid Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check which is satisfactory to the University will also be required before the successful applicant can commence in this position.
Northern Territory Government legislation (the Care and Protection of Children Act 2007) now requires all individuals in child related employment or whose duties involve, or are likely to involve, contact with a child, to hold a valid 'Working with Children Clearance' (Ochre Card). This position involves child related work and is assessed as requiring a Working with Children Clearance/Ochre Card.
Staff working in a health care setting are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID in line with the NT Health policy.
A current Australian Driver’s License is required for this position.
