About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Specialist to join our Finance

team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the financial reporting,

accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes for Careem's Grocery

business. This position requires a strong understanding of financial principles, excellent

communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders.

What you'll do

Support with the monthly financial closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Provide sensitive financial data to key stakeholders in a timely manner.
Collaborate with various departments to ensure all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.
Ensure timely and accurate posting of AP invoices from vendors, ensuring a 3 way
match is done
Prepare detailed reconciliation between Careem and vendor’s data
Provide assistance to vendors on queries related to AP/AR
Create timely AR invoices and ensuring proper accounting the system
Assist the business team with any finance and accounting-related activities.
Provide financial insights and support to enhance business decision-making processes.
Work closely with the tax team to ensure all invoices issued to and from the business are tax
compliant in Saudi and Jordan.
Stay updated on tax regulations and ensure adherence to all relevant tax laws.

What you'll need

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) with a specialization in Accounting.
Professional qualification from an accounting body (e.g., ACCA, ICAEW, etc.).
Work experience of 3-5 Years
Arabic speaker
