Job Summary:

Gallery Systems is offering an exciting growth opportunity on our Sales team to an energetic individual with exceptional communication skills and a talent for relationship building. The successful candidate is a self-directed, self-motivated individual, and rooted in the museum world. The candidate will need to work with cross-functional teams, think strategically, and understand the needs of a diverse and unique clientele. Ability to adapt and work in a progressive, dynamic, and changing technology environment is required. They will also be responsible to work with their clients on projects and to deliver basic trainings.

Job Description:

THE POSITION  

The Account Manager is responsible for promoting our technology, products, and services, establishing client relationships, and providing sales nurturing and support to our clients or prospects. As a key member of the sales team, the successful candidate will develop in-depth knowledge of the company’s solutions, as well as those of our competitors, and work in tandem with the sales and professional services departments. The Account Manager is responsible for working with prospective and existing clients, supporting them in defining their needs, keeping them informed of available products and enhancements, and for closing sales opportunities. The focus of this position will be in the UK and in Ireland where the successful candidate will build sustainable and long-term relationships in the museum environment to promote Gallery Systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Effectively manage a sales pipeline.
  • Understand all company products and services and be able to effectively explain functions, features, and capabilities to clients.
  • Manage client relationships and ensure ongoing client satisfaction, in addition to generating new sales opportunities and nurturing existing ones. Cultivate ongoing relationships through marketing campaigns, cold calls, and other channels.
  • Coordinate and develop proposals and responses to Tenders and RFx’s.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date information on leads and opportunities in our CRM.
  • Travel as needed for in-person demos and conferences.
  • Strengthen client relationships by providing trainings, project management assistance, and application tips and tricks.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Museum sector knowledge or experience, with a degree in Museum Studies, Art History, Fine Art, Museum Management, or similar experience, a plus.
  • 3+ years of sales or other relevant experience
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills, with the ability to make professional presentations that effectively communicate the features, benefits, and value of the CMS to clients and prospects.
  • The ideal candidate should possess a solid understanding of Collection Management Systems (CMS) and their benefits in the cultural heritage sector. Familiarity with various CMS solutions, industry trends, and best practices.
  • Candidate should have a good grasp of the technical aspects of Collection Management and collection management systems to aid in addressing client inquiries, explaining product functionalities, and coordinating with product teams, when necessary.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills, with the ability to make professional presentations, that effectively communicate the features, benefits, and value of the CMS to clients and prospects.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing client challenges. They should be able to identify client needs and propose suitable solutions.
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing their time effectively to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with a diverse clientele.
  • Creative, entrepreneurial and client-centric.

ASSETS

  • SalesForce.com or other CRM experience.
  • Experience in delivering trainings
  • Multilingual, a plus
  • Knowledge of TMS or other Museum Collection Management Software or similar systems
