Role Overview: In this position, you will be a dual-function professional supporting two dynamic teams; TalentPro and Pinion Accounting Services (PAS). You will provide comprehensive bookkeeping and payroll services to a diverse client base, ensuring the highest level of client satisfaction and operational excellence.

Your annual work schedule will consist of 40 hours per week from September - April. This position is eligible for benefits.

What You'll Do:

  • Bookkeeping (80%)
    • Provide monthly bookkeeping for clients, including calculating year-end journal entries
    • Preparing bank and credit card reconciliations
    • Import payroll entries and collect data to assist with 1099 preparation
    • Fixed asset management and depreciation
    • Prepare business property statements
    • Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and analyses related to accounting information
  • Payroll (20%)
    • Calculate and process payroll tax payments and prepare quarterly and annual tax returns (940s, 941s, 943s, W-2s)
    • Conduct after-the-fact payroll (following live payroll processing) ensuring accuracy and compliance
What You’ll Need:

  • 4+ years of experience in payroll and bookkeeping
  • Proven success in monthly bookkeeping (AP, AR, reconciliations, journal entries, etc.)
  • Familiarity with fixed asset management and depreciation
  • Experience preparing 940s, 941s, and W-2s
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, and/or Xero
  • Strong time management skills, ability to prioritize, and adapt to change all without sacrificing accuracy
  • Excellent oral communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills
  • Capable of learning and recalling important job functions and processes that may occur infrequently
  • Collaborative and effective in working with different leadership styles and a variety of individuals at all levels within the organization
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and the ability to learn multiple software programs

Bonus:

Compensation: In some states and municipalities, Pinion is required by law to include a reasonable estimate for range of compensation. When making compensation decisions, Pinion takes into account a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, certifications/licenses, and geographic location. The wide range for this role reasonably accounts for these factors. Specific compensation decisions are made based on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $20-30/hour.

Remote Eligibility: This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at a Pinion office or attendance at offsites, as requested/required by the firm and/or your supervisor.
