Responsibilities

The Life & Annuity Claims Team is responsible for modernizing the beneficiary experience. The Life & Annuity Claims Team provides the critical capability of paying life insurance proceeds to beneficiaries after the loss of the policyholder. The selected applicant will perform configuration using Equisoft Design and the Oracle Insurance Policy Administration (OIPA) system. This individual should deliver high quality results, identify solutions, triage problems, and demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset. The Software Engineer should be able to help establish a vision for the future.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience performing OIPA configuration and using extension functionality to integrate with enterprise capabilities.
  • 3+ years of experience using Equisoft Design (formerly known as Equisoft Rulestudio).
  • Java, SQL, XML, XSLT, Python
  • Javascript framework experience (React, Anjular, VueJS, Ember)
  • Experience testing in OIPA.

Preferred skills:

  • Continuous delivery pipeline development (ylm/bash), GitLab, GitLab CI desired.
  • Familiar with Puppet, Docker, Kubernetes or other containerization technologies desired.
  • Understanding of the My Oracle Support process to drive production bug and patch installations and testing.
  • Experience working in an Agile Environment on an Agile Team.
  • AWS Cloud experience desired but not required.
  • Life Insurance product knowledge a plus.

  • Strong work ethic with a focus on high quality and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to critically think and solve complex problems.

  • Driven to deliver high quality work with a vision for future development - not just short-term delivery goals.
