Overview

This is your chance to gain real-time experience in digital marketing while finishing your degree! Our Digital Operations – Search & Content internship will help carry out initiatives outlined in our SEO roadmap as well as support the team with day-to-day duties. You will help deliver ad-hoc and project work aligned to our overall content strategy.

We are looking for a fall/winter intern to work 10-15 hours per week remotely or in our Madison, WI office. Flexible scheduling is available. Pay for this position is $17/hour.

Responsibilities

As a Digital Operations – Search & Content Intern at TDS, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Regularly audit all websites based on existing processes for quality issues, including broken links, typographical errors and missing meta data.
  • Provide basic updates to web pages to improve the accuracy and quality of content across all TDS websites
  • Participate in content planning and brainstorming meetings with cross functional teams to help determine new content requirements
  • Regularly update various dashboards on a weekly and/or monthly basis
  • Conduct various ad-hoc SEO and marketing tasks
  • Learn about website analytics and help monitor data trends and website performance
  • Learn from experienced digital and ecommerce professionals

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ semesters in Marketing, Communications, Digital Marketing or related fields

Other Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail
  • Intellectual curiosity
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Adobe Experience Manager and Microsoft Excel is a plus
  • A passion for website content
  • Strong organizational, creative and analytical abilities
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment
  • A strong desire to learn more about the inner workings of ecommerce websites

Associates scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week have access to medical, dental, vision, life insurance, a 401(k) plan, and paid time off benefits such as vacation (15 days accrued per year for full-time; pro-rated for part-time associates working between 20-39 hours), sick leave (10 days accrued per year for full-time and pro-rated for all other associates), seven paid national holidays and one floating holiday, paid parental leave (2 weeks after 12 months of employment), among others. Short Term Disability and Long Term Disability coverage is also available for associates working 30 or more hours per week and Education Assistance is available to full-time associates. Associates scheduled to work under twenty hours per week or for a limited term (i.e. interns) are eligible for medical coverage, the 401(k) plan (if 18 or older), as well as sick leave (10 days accrued per year for full-time and pro-rated for all other associates).
