We are seeking an experienced finance or government compliance professional to join our dynamic team within our Aerostructures business unit. This role is designed for a strategic partner who will play a critical part in embedding a compliance mindset and driving business improvement through the practical application of US Government regulations. The ideal candidate will leverage their deep understanding of regulatory frameworks, combined with strong accounting acumen, data analytics expertise, and exceptional communication and presentation skills. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to impactful projects and analyses that enhance our operational effectiveness and compliance posture.

What YOU will do

  • Partner with the business across all levels to improve understanding and ensure compliance with Government requirements, including the FAR 31 cost principles, Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and the DFARS Business Systems.
  • Communicate effectively across functional areas to provide advice on the application of Government requirements to the strategic direction of the company.
  • Serve as a focal point for internal and US Government accounting & compliance requests.
  • Drive a continuous improvement environment through the development, implementation and monitoring of government business systems controls.
  • Lead the development, implementation and review of company policies.
  • Travel onsite quarterly is required.


 

Education & Experience

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications you must have

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.
  • Experience working in Finance and/or U.S. Government Contracting.

Skills we value

  • Practical application of Government regulations, including Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), the Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS) and the Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
  • Utilize advanced data analysis techniques to extract actionable insights from complex datasets.
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement principles (CORE, Lean six sigma, etc.)
  • Experience in MS Office applications, specifically MS PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Experience with enterprise management systems (especially SAP or similar)

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
