Job Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Commercial Claims Specialist to join our dynamic team in a remote capacity. This role is pivotal in supporting our policyholders through the intricacies of the claims process, especially during periods of heightened activity due to catastrophic weather events. Flexibility is essential, as extended hours during evenings and weekends may be required.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of first-party claims, assessing complexity and ensuring thorough investigations.
• Conduct detailed reserve and coverage analyses while estimating property damage and identifying potential fraud for swift resolution.
• Serve as a mentor to junior adjusters, aiding in their professional growth and training.
• Communicate effectively with insureds, public adjusters, attorneys, and contractors, providing timely updates and clarifications.
• Develop and implement Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) strategies in accordance with statutory guidelines.
• Maintain effective oversight throughout the appraisal process, ensuring prompt communication.
• Employ advanced negotiation skills to resolve disputed claims.
• Utilize video technology for virtual investigations and ensure all case files are closed comprehensively and punctually.
• Adhere to best practices and operational guidelines, while participating in litigation as necessary.
  
  

Required Skills

• Extensive experience in commercial claims handling and interpretation of coverage.
• Proficiency in Xactimate and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to mentor junior team members.
• Capacity to identify fraud indicators and manage claims with subrogation potential.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
• A minimum of 10 years of relevant commercial claims experience is preferred, with a comprehensive understanding of claims operations.
• A Florida 520⁄620 license is required, along with the capability to obtain adjuster licenses in AL, GA, NC, and SC.
