Job description

Your opportunity
The Global Enablement team at New Relic provides enablement needs analysis, learning programs design, delivery and coaching, and field communications to drive successful sales and technical performance and reduce time to proficiency for all sales segments.

As the leader of this team, you’ll build and execute programs in collaboration with key business stakeholders and external providers and will interact with senior levels within the organization and New Relic's community in a fast paced, dynamic environment and team.

What you'll do

  • Design, develop, and deliver extraordinary learning programs that are experiential, drive behavior change and increase enablement and performance within our global Sales and Pre/Post Sales Technical (Customer Adoption) teams
  • Drive our new Technical Certification Program delivering role based certification paths for our Customer Adoption team, our Customers and our Partners
  • Develop learning curricula that aligns learning and performance strategies
  • Facilitate solution, skill and organizational learning programs for Sales, Customer Adoption, Customers and Partners and provide coaching to managers and sales reps for continued reinforcement
  • Develop assessment approaches that conform to New Relic accreditation strategies and processes
  • Evaluate the business impact of learning programs through use of learning and performance metrics
  • Communicate and lead program objectives and deployment plans
  • Build and maintain appropriate learning and support materials for programs


This role requires

  • Bachelors in Instructional Design or Adult Education; Masters preferred
  • Experience owning the development of Certification policies, marketing and SME community
  • Experience in working with psychometricians to roll out legally defensible technical Certification programs
  • Experience working with certification management vendors (e.g. Kryterion, Prometric etc.)
  • Experience leading a global team that develops, delivers and owns technical customer enablement
  • Consistent track record in solution/value selling, pre-sales or consulting activities in the IT market and/or developing selling skills in others
  • 8+ years of Sales Coaching and Project Management experience across a variety of delivery media
  • 4+ years of demonstrated ability leading people teams
  • Fluency in English

  • Proficient in establishing learning and performance metrics and measurements (return on investment & Benchmarking)
  • Experience in facilitation, training, mentoring sales professionals
  • Strong in building and maintaining relationships
  • Experience analyzing business needs and selling value to customers
  • Project/program management experience
  • Experienced at prioritizing and meeting swift deadlines in a fast pace, constantly evolving environment
  • Excellent team player with good leadership skills
  • Ready to travel where required (up to 50% if not SFO based, 20% if SFO based)
  • Fluency in English, working knowledge of other languages is an asset

Estimated Base Pay Range: $ 201,000 - $ 251,000

The pay range above represents a reasonable estimate of the salary for the listed position. This role is eligible for a corporate bonus plan. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related factors such as an applicant’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
