Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 7 Years, Senior Family Law Attorney (Remote)Job Overview: A legal recruiting firm is seeking a Senior Family Law Attorney on behalf of a rapidly growing family law practice in Northern California. This fully remote position offers flexibility, allowing the attorney to manage high-stakes family law cases while working from home, with occasional travel to courthouses as required. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in family law litigation, including divorce, custody, and property division cases.Duties:Lead and manage complex family law cases involving divorce, child custody, support, and property division.Provide legal counsel and advocacy through depositions, hearings (via Zoom and in-person), mediations, and trials.Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, agreements, and financial analyses.Prepare Dissomaster calculations, Propertizer reports, and other financial evaluations.Manage discovery processes and trial preparation, including organizing key facts, exhibits, and timelines.Collaborate with a team to move cases efficiently through litigation while leveraging technology for case management.Mentor and assist in the professional development of junior attorneys and paralegals.Requirements:Minimum of 7 years of family law litigation experience, focusing on divorce, child custody, support, and property division.Expertise in drafting legal documents, managing discovery, and conducting financial analyses.Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to advocate for clients in hearings and trials.Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and collaborate with a legal team.Technological proficiency in virtual hearings and case management tools.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Certifications:Active member in good standing with the California State Bar.Certified Family Law Specialist (preferred but not required).Skills:Strong litigation and case management skills with a focus on family law.Excellent organizational abilities to manage complex cases and meet deadlines.Ability to collaborate effectively within a legal team.Experience with family law software for financial analyses.Strong client relationship management and communication skills.
