Become a Senior DevOps at Bosch!

Description

Your challenge will be to improve the development environment, focusing on automating repetitive tasks and implementing new solutions that optimize the productivity of the development team. This includes creating and maintaining Python scripts for automation, as well as managing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.

You will provide support (DEVOPS) to a team of developers distributed in different countries, such as: Germany, England, India and possibly Canada. You must have assertive communication skills and good proficiency in the English language.

Qualifications

Fluent English;
Completed degree;
You have 4+ years of experience working as a DevOps or in a similar role.
Following the principle "we build it, we run it", you have experience in the design, operations, a
support of IT cloud solutions.
Previous experience with the Agile Software Development Process and the Software Development Life
Cycle (SDLC).
Knowledge of deployment automation.
Extensive knowledge of Jenkins, Artifactory, Python and/or Groovy
Excellent software engineering skills and knowledge of scripting languages (Bash for Linux /
PowerShell for Windows).
Previous experience in Source control management systems (such as GitHub, Bitbucket, Gitlab);
Practical experience in CI/CD technologies such as branching concepts, Containerization
(Docker, Kubernetes,...), and Automation.
Experience in interface programming and design e.g., against central IT systems such as Jira would be beneficial.
Basic understanding of AWS/Azure cloud technologies or any other cloud provider;
Good communication skills/Team spirit and ability to work in a cross-functional team;
Experience in breaking down requirements into technical tasks and providing estimates.

Main Activities

Responsible for operation, maintenance, and improvement of ETAS' cloud-based software development environment ETAS-Dev.com
Support the development of the engineering infrastructure collaborating with the core infrastructure.
Team on new tools to provide extended use cases.
Application-level management of development services like Artifactory, Bitbucket, Confluence,
Dependency Track, Jenkins, Jira, SonarQube
Support product development teams in analysis and optimization of CI/CD pipelines
Automate repetitive operations and maintenance tasks.
