As part of the marketing team, you'll work with some of the largest insurance companies, helping to introduce them to our transformative technology that can rapidly change the way they think and do business.

As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you will be the first point of contact for potential clients and customers in the insurance industry, identifying their needs and introducing them to our suite of core insurance products (policy, claims and billing) primarily, but not exclusively, for the P&C and protection markets.

You will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth by sourcing, qualifying, and engaging new leads that align with our strategic objectives, while supporting marketing initiatives and campaigns. Reporting to the Head of Growth and Enablement, you will work closely with the sales, marketing, and customer teams to ensure a seamless handoff from lead to opportunity.

The right candidate will be passionate about B2B prospecting, sales and winning business. They will also need patience and tenacity as there are more no's than yes' in this business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect Identification & Outreach: Use a variety of tools to research and engage decision-makers at EMEA-based and global insurance carriers.
  • Lead Qualification: Qualify inbound and outbound leads to ensure a strong fit with our solutions, focusing on carriers' specific needs and pain points.
  • Collaborate with Sales Teams: Schedule meetings and product demos for Account Executives, ensuring a smooth handoff of qualified leads.
  • Funnel Building: Work closely with marketing to build and maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay up-to-date on EIS product development, competitor products, and changes in the insurance landscape to better position our solutions.
  • CRM Management: Maintain accurate records of all interactions in our CRM (Salesforce) and work with the Head of Growth and Enablement to report on weekly and monthly KPIs.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in regular training sessions and feedback loops to sharpen your skills and improve performance.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • 1-3 years of experience in a sales or business development role, preferably in B2B SaaS, insurance, or fintech.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a focus on consultative selling.
  • Highly motivated and self-driven individual, with a passion for learning and achieving results.
  • Proficient with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce), and experience using sales engagement tools (e.g., Outreach, SalesLoft).
  • Ability to work remotely and collaboratively across teams, regions, time zones and functions in a fast-paced environment.

A Bonus:

  • Familiarity with the insurance industry, Insurtech or core systems (e.g., policy administration, claims, underwriting solutions).
  • Experience selling into enterprise-level clients or the insurance sector.
  • Knowledge of sales automation tools and techniques for lead generation.
  • Bilingual speaker - English and French

Compensation

The targeted annual base pay range for this position is 50,000 - 65,000 EUR yr with OTE of 65,000-84,000 EUR; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to your salary, you will also receive stock options as part of our offer, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
