CANDIDATE PROFILE:

It will be difficult to be successful in this role without the following qualifications:

  • Extensive contracts knowledge and negotiation skills regarding legal contract terms.
  • Experience negotiating Services agreements; including Meetings and Events, Professional Services and Consulting agreements, Ordering Schedules and Statements of Work.
  • 4-6 years contracting experience.
  • Innate ability to self-initiate, self-direct, self-evaluate and constantly reprioritize work.
  • Excellent analytical and communication (both verbal and written) skills; must be able to write comprehensive legal summaries and analyses for an executive audience.
  • Organized, detail-oriented and refined time management skills.
  • Excellent research & problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate sound judgment under high stress and time critical deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize, and reprioritize, to ensure business critical needs are met across a variety of company stakeholders and often changing requirements.
  • Excellent customer service attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to build relationships with and influence individuals both vertically and horizontally within the organizational hierarchy.
  • Ability to deal with potentially confrontational situations with patience and diplomacy.
  • Business degree or equivalent is required
  • Legal Background is a plus.
  • English advanced and portugues is a plus

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review, draft and negotiate moderately complex legal terms in supplier agreements to mitigate Oracle’s risk and ensure compliance with Oracle legal guidelines and procurement policies with moderate managerial oversight and/or intervention.
  • Interface with lines of business to understand unique contract requirements to meet business needs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Validate all aspects (legal and commercial terms) of supplier agreements for accuracy and compliance with Oracle’s business practices, policies and required internal approvals.
  • Draft executive approval requests for key legal clauses, including summary of business issues and context.
  • Prepare and maintain contract documentation, including status, reports and contract records.
  • Job duties will be varied and moderately complex, requiring independent judgment, business acumen and legal knowledge of contract documents and best practices.
