Missions offered:

The control of the risks induced by industrial installations is a necessary condition for the construction or operation of units.

The purpose of risk analysis is to ensure this by:

  • Understanding the operation of the units,
  • Identification of hazards related to products, the environment, equipment,
  • Analysis of feedback,
  • Identification of accidental sequences that can lead to feared events and dangerous phenomena,
  • Characterization of the criticality of risks using an estimate of their frequency of occurrence and a modeling of their consequences.


The proposed internship will be supervised by the Risk Analysis team of the Expertise and Modeling department, within the Processes and Technologies division.

During this internship, you will be in charge of carrying out missions of:

  • Documentary synthesis,
  • Hazard identification,
  • Identification of dangerous phenomena,
  • Modelling of the consequences of accident scenarios,


as part of a study to quantify the risks associated with the facilities of a CO2 capture project.

You will also be required to carry out comparable missions in support of ongoing cases (hazard studies, reporting files,...).

Profile sought:

What we expect from you:

  • In the course of Bac +5 engineering school process engineering / industrial processes / chemical engineering ideally with an HSE option,
  • Rigorous, organized, autonomous and curious with a desire to learn more about the management of major risks in the industrial world,
  • Good writing and presentation skills in French,
  • Operational English (oral and written),
  • Knowledge of the office pack.


During this internship, you will be accompanied by a tutor to answer your various questions. This internship will be an opportunity for you to increase your skills and knowledge.
