What You'll Do

Avalara is looking for a HR Operations Business Analyst to join our growing Global People Operations team. This is a perfect position for someone who already has HR Operations and Workday experience and is ready to take the next step in growing their career. You will use your HR, Operations and Workday knowledge to support enhancement and testing efforts in Workday, look for opportunities to refine processes, establish process, and assist with change management. The ideal candidate will also have a desire to develop towards being a team lead. The HR Operations Business Analyst will report to the Manager, Global People Operations. You will be based in Pune, India

Job Duties

  • Proactively seek and take initiative for process improvements and automation to assist in scaling the Global HR Operations team.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and support with gathering requirements for Workday enhancements and writing test scripts
  • Lead testing activities within the HR Operations team
  • Complete complex EIBs as needed
  • Support HR projects
  • Provide quality customer service in response to inquiries made via our issue tracking system (ServiceNow), e-mail, Slack, etc. from employees, managers, and HR business partners.
  • Use procedures, policies, knowledge database and other reference materials to assist in answering inquiries.
  • Help maintain the integrity of our HR data through auditing and data correction.
  • Creates knowledge base articles, job aids, and business process documentation.
  • Assist with training new Global People Ops employees.
  • Support with Tier 1 and 2 tickets when needed


What You'll Need to be Successful

  • 3 years HR experience
  • You have experience with Workday
  • You have experience with ServiceNow
  • You have worked in an environment where you have engaged with all levels of employees
  • Collaborate with team members and management.
  • You have experience prioritizing competing demands..
  • Approaches challenges with curiosity and offers new solutions and ideas.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
