Job description

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our team at EPAM.

In this role, you will spearhead the development of innovative software solutions for established multinational businesses, focusing on financial messaging and global financial interconnectivity. You will work closely with both engineering teams and business stakeholders to ensure excellent product quality and user experience.

Responsibilities

Articulate clear requirements for robust financial messaging solutions to enhance data quality, streamline transaction processing, and ensure global interoperability
Ensure excellence in quality, innovation and data-driven decision-making, focusing on high customer satisfaction
Maintain and improve requirement management and software development processes throughout the project life cycle
Establish and manage business analysis activities
Elicit business requirements from stakeholders using various techniques
Proactively evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, and distinguish user requests from actual needs
Translate business needs into functional, non-functional, and transition requirements
Create Epics, Use Cases, and User Stories in selected formats
Demonstrate full ownership of features and requirements throughout their lifecycle
Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, managing expectations and facilitating clear communication
Invest the necessary effort to become an undisputed hands-on expert on your product until it reaches the market
Actively participate in knowledge sharing and conduct trainings within the company

Requirements

Experience in driving interbank connectivity using SWIFT, ISO8583, and ISO20022
5+ years of work experience as a Business/System Analyst
Expert knowledge in settlement and reconciliation processes
Strong background in documenting business analysis artifacts and user stories using Gherkin acceptance criteria
Proficiency in managing different types of requirements
Proven ability in creating diagrams with UML and BPMN
Experience in business analysis organization at the start of a project
Advanced knowledge of requirements management tools like Jira and Azure DevOps
Strong knowledge of BA tools, including modeling notations, diagram types (Visio, Lucid, draw.io), and UI wireframing (Balsamiq Mockups, InVision, Figma)
Significant experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe
Strong Product Backlog Management skills
Proven track record of end-to-end delivery for at least 3 software projects
Technical acumen: understanding of system workings, system integration principles, database fundamentals, and cloud computing basics
Decision-making skills, ability to work without supervision, and proactive approach
Strong ability to quickly learn new domains and conduct research
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
