Remote Virtual Interpreter for Sign Language | WFH

Job Overview

We are on the lookout for a passionate and proficient Virtual Sign Language Interpreter to deliver personalized interpreting services for K-12 students in a dynamic virtual setting. This full-time role necessitates a commitment of 37.5 hours per week, providing the flexibility and convenience that comes with remote work.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 tele-interpreting services to facilitate communication for students who are deaf or hard-of-hearing.
• Engage actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to address and support student requirements.
• Promote effective communication among students, their peers, teachers, and school staff.
• Collaborate closely with onsite educators to ensure a seamless learning experience for all students.
  
  

Required Skills

• Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) is mandatory.
• Proficiency in utilizing a teletherapy platform to provide remote interpreting services.
• Strong communication and collaboration capabilities are essential.
  
  

Qualifications

• A minimum score of 3.5 on the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) is required.
• Prior experience in educational interpreting is preferred.
