Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and align the fieldwork program with the curriculum, fostering collaboration with faculty to bridge classroom instruction and practical application.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with fieldwork sites, ensuring compliance with program standards and facilitating enriching learning experiences for students.
  • Collaborate with students and educators to track progress and performance, ensuring adherence to all fieldwork objectives.
  • Supervise students during their fieldwork experiences, prioritizing their safety and educational growth towards achieving entry-level competencies.
  • Oversee the administration of fieldwork agreements, ensuring timely fulfillment of graduation requirements.
  • Partner with career services to uncover fieldwork opportunities that can lead to employment, enhancing the fieldwork-to-hire pathway.
  • Conduct visits to fieldwork sites (either remotely or in-person) to ensure the provision of high-quality learning opportunities.
  • Utilize feedback and data analysis to assess and improve fieldwork outcomes continuously.
  • Participate in accreditation and program review processes to uphold institutional standards.
  • Teach Level I and Level II fieldwork courses, maintaining accurate student records and grading.
  • Cultivate an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity, supporting student success and retention initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with faculty, students, and community partners to strengthen connections between academic and fieldwork learning.
  • Support prospective students during the pre-enrollment phase, enhancing their introduction to our program.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Active Occupational Therapy (OT) license in Arizona.
  • Minimum of three years of clinical experience as a practicing OT.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, coupled with strong organizational capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and solve problems effectively in a dynamic environment, demonstrating high integrity.

Qualifications

  • At least three years of teaching experience in an occupational therapy assistant program is preferred.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems (such as Canvas, Blackboard, or Moodle) is advantageous.
  • Experience in program planning, evaluation, and faculty management is desirable.
  • Previous leadership or management roles in an academic context.
  • Knowledge of CampusVue and the Canvas™ learning management system (LMS) is a plus.
