Job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Training Instructor to enhance a critical Department of Defense (DoD) initiative, Platform One. This role entails providing exceptional technical training and workshops that support the DoD’s DevSecOps strategy. Utilizing industry best practices, open-source technologies (such as Kubernetes and containers), and commercial solutions, you will contribute to the development of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines across various classification levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct virtual training workshops on a weekly basis to onboard DoD product teams.
  • Create and deliver educational materials while providing real-time support during training sessions.
  • Teach and apply DevSecOps principles, agile methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Provide training for Project Managers (PMs) and Developers on technical subjects.
  • Facilitate both virtual and in-person technical training sessions and workshops.
  • Maintain an optimal student-to-instructor ratio to ensure an excellent customer experience.
  • Implement post-training reviews and gather customer feedback to drive continuous improvement.
  • Prepare monthly status reports detailing customer satisfaction and training effectiveness.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in delivering technical training and workshops, particularly in DevSecOps and related areas.
  • Familiarity with Platform One tools, CI/CD pipelines, and agile methodologies.
  • Ability to train both technical and non-technical staff effectively.
  • Proficiency in utilizing virtual training platforms to deliver engaging sessions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate a positive learning environment.
  • Experience in conducting feedback sessions and retrospectives to enhance training outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated proficiency in teaching DevSecOps practices and tools.
  • Experience working with both Project Managers and Developers.
  • Comfort with virtual training platforms and educational technology.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to convey information clearly and concisely.
