We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Part-Time Instructor in Roadway Safety to contribute to our vital mission of saving lives and preventing injuries.

Key Responsibilities

In this part-time role, you will be instrumental in providing virtual car seat inspections utilizing our detailed curricula and training resources. Additionally, you will lead and instruct child passenger safety education sessions. Please note that your hours will be flexible and vary based on instructor availability and requests for car seat inspections.

  • Lead engaging virtual and hands-on training sessions focused on occupant protection safety, leveraging provided curriculum and resources.
  • Encourage active participant engagement and assess the effectiveness of each educational session.
  • Represent our organization during training sessions, ensuring effective management of supporting materials and records.
  • Participate in evaluations of courses and trainers to foster continual improvement of our programs.

Required Skills

  • U.S.-certified Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) status.
  • Strong preference for U.S.-certified CPST instructors.
  • In-depth knowledge of child passenger safety, occupant protection systems, crash dynamics, and Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) as taught in the Child Passenger Safety Technician Certification Training curriculum.
  • Proven experience engaging with underserved communities.
  • Ability to effectively interact with diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and professionalism.

Qualifications

  • Certification in Child Passenger Safety Technician Training required.
  • Experience in child passenger safety education and training is essential.
