Job Overview

We are seeking a meticulous Medical Financial Analyst to join our esteemed team and optimize our financial operations within the healthcare industry. This position is ideal for individuals with robust financial analysis capabilities, project management experience, and a strong interest in managed care contracts.

Key Responsibilities

As a Medical Financial Analyst, your contributions will be vital in enhancing our financial processes. You will collaborate closely with various departments to assess pricing strategies, identify trends, and support the development of our Charge Master. The primary responsibilities of this role include:

  • Project Management: Overseeing multiple financial projects, ensuring timely and effective execution under managerial guidance.
  • Financial Reconciliation: Performing detailed financial reconciliations during the “Pre-Bundle” and “Post-Bundle” phases to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Pricing Models: Crafting precise pricing models for service bundles, ensuring our rates remain competitive and equitable.
  • Charge Master Support: Assisting in the establishment and maintenance of the Charge Description Master (CDM) and Charge Master.
  • Financial Trend Analysis: Continuously monitoring and evaluating financial trends to keep the organization at the forefront of the industry.
  • Contract Analysis: Conducting in-depth analyses of managed care contracts with a focus on healthcare codes and relevant terms, such as CPT codes.
  • Collaboration: Engaging with team members across various departments to meet project objectives and ensure initiatives are on track.
  • Compliance: Upholding all financial operations to adhere to departmental and organizational standards and regulations.

Required Skills

  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years in a financial role with a strong emphasis on managed care contracts.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with healthcare contract terminology (e.g., CPT codes) and a solid grasp of managed care principles.
  • Communication: Exceptional oral and written communication skills to effectively share insights and collaborate with colleagues.
  • Team Player: Proven ability to work cohesively within a team, demonstrating a collaborative approach and problem-solving abilities.
  • Technical Skills: Prior experience with EPIC and financial reconciliation processes is highly advantageous.
