Job Overview

We are seeking motivated individuals to join our dynamic team as Junior Procurement Management Analysts, providing essential procurement support to our U.S. Navy client. In this role, you will leverage your understanding of business processes and analytical skills to assist various commands within the Department of Defense (DoD). This position offers the flexibility of partial remote work; however, candidates should be located within a reasonable distance from Crane, Indiana, to facilitate on-site meetings and hybrid work arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in daily program operations and track the progress of procurement activities.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis on procurement-related issues.
  • Support data collection efforts to implement regulatory and policy directives.
  • Collaborate with multiple organizations and clients to ensure procurement forms meet asset and OM&S accuracy requirements.
  • Validate government funding and screen necessary sources of supply.
  • Enter data into the Navy ERP system efficiently.
  • Submit and monitor all MILSTRIP and purchase card requisitions, maintaining an organized tracking system for all transactions.
  • Oversee the division mailbox and prioritize incoming requests.
  • Request necessary IT and other determinations to advance procurement requests.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, gathering procurement needs from government Requiring Technical Authority (RTA) and Technical POCs.
  • Verify vendor details for correctness and ensure appropriate screening of mandatory sources when applicable.
  • Ensure all procurement request forms (PR forms) are accurate and complete.
  • Confirm all part numbers are correctly assigned a UMM/NIIN.
  • Maintain metrics related to purchase card and MILSTRIP requisitions, staying current with MILSTRIP advice codes.
  • Track and report procurement information until all materials are successfully acquired.
  • Utilize ERP systems to provide updates on approval information and procurement status.
  • Share weekly tracking updates with the division.
  • Develop, analyze, and manage procurement data and packages, offering recommendations to enhance quality, timelines, and efficiencies.
  • Record meeting minutes, manage documentation, and perform data entry as needed.
  • Execute additional duties as assigned by government leadership.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in preparing, interpreting, and presenting data.
  • Strong analytical skills along with proficiency in computer applications related to finance.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication capabilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Capacity to thrive under tight deadlines while managing time efficiently.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required; applicants with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
  • Prior experience assisting NSWC Crane is preferred.
