The Role
In this role, you will be responsible for managing a portion of the Daily Material Requirements Planning (MRP) of the materials within the Supply Chain Organization. This role will act as an end-to-end owner for a portfolio of purchased SKUs, ensuring a robust material supply plan is executed to support our global manufacturing network. This role will plan Raw Material Purchasing, BOM items, Non BOM Items, Critical Components, Consumables, Moderna Buy items, etc. per manufacturing demand and be able to create and present material planning analyses as needed for manufacturing readiness and inventory governance
Heres What Youll Do
- Execute MRP using SAP to plan raw material requirements weekly by defining appropriate MRP parameters and executing requirements planning for both BOM-driven and replenishment of all planned materials.
- Manage open purchase orders with multiple vendors and accurately reflect status in SAP.
- Escalate risks through management when identified and work through cross-functional resolution of issues. Work closely with vendor-facing partner teams to drive vendor resolution as required.
- Problem solve MRP and purchasing issues with BOM owners, production planning, and manufacturing. Ultimately determine root cause and correct MRP signals.
- Facilitate raw material projects and NPI, ensuring all demand changes are captured appropriately and material is introduced with one valid purchasing plan.
- Provide guidance to supply chain best practices in a multi-site/CMO planning environment. Ensure tactical raw material readiness for new projects as part of the master project plan.
- Review updates to master production forecasts to assess raw material and budget impacts.
- Responsible for performance to material planning KPIs including inventory target levels and safety stock adherence, on-time quality release of incoming materials.
- Conduct ad hoc data analysis for raw material planning as required.

Heres What Youll Need (Basic Qualifications)
- Education: BA in Supply Chain, Science, Engineering, or Economics/Finance with at least 3-5 years experience.
- Experience: 3-5 years experience with SAP and MRP.
- Specific Certifications or Training: None.
Heres What Youll Bring To The Table (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience working with cGMP material suppliers is preferred.
- Experience navigating Quality Systems in a GMP production environment is preferred.
- Experience with new part number implementation including creation of Bill of Materials, Recipes, and Production Version in SAP is a plus.
- Experience with demand planning in SAP is preferred.
- Experience with Tableau is a plus.

- This position is site-based, requiring you to be at Modernas site full-time. This position is not eligible for remote work.
