Job Title: Air Travel Specialist

Salary Range: \(60,000 - \)68,000 annually, plus annual bonus

Location: Louisville, CO (Hybrid) or Remote

Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM MT, with rotating Saturdays 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Job Overview

We are seeking a committed and skilled Air Travel Specialist to become a vital part of our innovative Travel Desk team. This position is centered around delivering outstanding service while expertly handling airfare bookings for our esteemed clientele. Our team is dedicated to ensuring a smooth and pleasurable travel experience from beginning to end.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and arrange flight itineraries for guests, staff, and guides, taking into account routing and pricing.
  • Provide guidance to guests regarding airline regulations, travel insurance options, and seat selection.
  • Oversee airline bookings, including modifications to schedules, cancellations, and travel-related issues.
  • Dispatch final flight confirmations to guests and facilitate ticket processing via the Amadeus GDS platform.
  • Assist guests with urgent situations, such as flight cancellations or missed connections, both during and sporadically after business hours.
  • Organize additional accommodations and transfers, along with compiling weekly and monthly sales and commission reports.

Required Skills

  • Expertise in Amadeus or another GDS ticketing system (preferably with over 3 years of experience).
  • Experience in the travel or hospitality sectors, with a solid background in travel logistics.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with the Windows operating system and applications, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Exceptional time management, multitasking, and organizational capabilities.
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure and provide reassurance to guests in challenging situations.
  • A collaborative team member who can also work independently and effectively prioritize tasks.

  • A bachelor's degree is preferred.
