You’ll be joining our London Head office in the heart of Farringdon, next to the iconic Hatton gardens and leather lane. This modern office is home to 12 showrooms, multiple meeting rooms and creative spaces. We have a multi-disciplined team of over 70 adidas employees, working across Brand, Sports Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Marketing Activations, Culture Marketing, Sales, Newsroom, PR & Communities.

As Assistant Social Media Manager at adidas, you’ll lead on socialpublishingacross adidas’ channels in the UK - making sure our content is on point and reaching consumers organically, via paid and supporting across our partners (athletes and clubs). 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement the digitalpublishingstrategy across owned and paid social according to the UK brand and category calendars with a focus on Football
  • Support the SnrManagerPublishingwith planning and content creation for key campaigns  
  • Lead on the planning, preparation, content creation andpublishingon Football reactive moments.  
  • Community Management ‘on decks’ as required by the rota / team availability.  
  • Own & lead the management of the DigitalPublishingcalendar & roll out for adidas Football social output in the UK 
  • Partner with internal teams in Football such as brand comms,eCommerce & membership to achieve business goals through integrated campaign planning and execution across social media  
  • Work with the Newsroom team (PR, PartnerPublishing& Analytics) – to deliver integratedpublishing plans & impactful reach for all campaigns and reactive moments
  • Create best in class consumer journeys by connecting social media experiences to adidas digital platforms & city activations
  • Ensure all campaigns and content are fully tagged and tracked to support measurement and advanced analytics efforts.
  • Support the DigitalPublishingteam to drive on-going innovation and best practice digitalpublishing, with a clear focus on new emerging trends & platforms
  • Support data analyst on digitalpublishingreporting for Football and reactive moments
  • Identify new platform trends and consumer behavior and feed the insight back into digitalpublishing strategy to ensure adidas is at the forefront of social media marketing  

 

You have to know your way around social media way more than the average person - we want you to fine tune what goes in feed, be on top of the latest trends on TikTok, be clear on what makes people watch beyond the first few seconds and be able to flag any emerging opportunities on platforms we might not have heard of yet.  

 

We’re privileged to work with some of the biggest football clubs and best players in the world - and adidas needs to be present around their biggest moments on and off pitch. You will lead on reactive, making sure the Newsroom team is quick to lead or join relevant conversations around big wins or great goals. We want you to know the men’s and women’s games inside out. You'll need to be quick witted and be able to come up with a copy line in minutes.   

 

You will control thepublishingrollout for football and will need to deliver consistent updates to the business on what we've got planned and how our work has performed - in reports and in person in team and category meetings. 

 

Skills you’ll need:

 

  • 2+ years’ industry and / or relevant work experience
  • Fluent written and spoken English language skills
  • Teamplay, Courage, Ownership, Integrity, Innovation & Respect  
  • Excellent interpersonal / communication skills and high level of strategic thinking  
  • High understanding of owned and paid social landscape  
  • Experience with all major social media networks: Facebook / Instagram, Google / YouTube, Snapchat, Pinterest, TikTok, Twitch etc.  
  • Keen understanding of the widerpublishingmix: owned, earned and paid   
  • Naturally curious and motivated by the ever changing world of digital and mobile – particular focus on new and emerging social media platforms.  
  • Broad understanding of and passion for the Football, wider sports and fashion industry.  
  • Advanced presentation and organizational skills  
  • Understand the Editorial process  
  • Copywriting skills
