Description

The Vice President, Product Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing marketing programs across Dodge Construction Network’s product portfolio to entice new customers and enhance key feature adoption. The position will use market and customer research, competitive intelligence, and analysis of industry/segment trends to develop effective sales and marketing materials for the segments served.  You will collaborate with product management and sales to turn roadmaps into client-centric propositions mapping the customer journey to take audiences through the sales cycle; from awareness to consideration to purchase.  

 

This role is also responsible for developing internal training assets and collaborating with the Sales Enablement team to deliver and execute.

 

This position reports directly to the Chief Marketing Officer.

 

Preferred Location

This is a full-time remote, home-office based role. Candidates located in the continental United States will be considered. 

 

Travel Requirements

Expected travel is 10% - 20% for this role.

 

Essential Functions

  • Partner with Product Management to gain a deep understanding of Dodge’s product vision, functionality and growth strategy to lead product launch plans and ensure on-time and successful execution across the business
  • Define and drive messaging across all media and customer engagement channels, including go-to-market plans and sales enablement for Dodge’s product solutions
  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Account Management colleagues to support the goals of Dodge solutions
  • Develop account targeting and market segmentation programs that will drive new customer acquisition, cross/upsell and retention revenue
  • Establish agreed upon goals for all solutions and market segments, measure and refine go-to-market activities as needed
  • Own messaging in partnership with Product Management and New Business Sales to stay ahead of market trends, create a constant feedback loop with our customer’s needs, and establish differentiated market positioning
  • Create and maintain a library of content and sales tools; sales sheets, battlecards, customer presentations, competitive materials, website, social copy and more
  • Prepare market opportunity analysis; identify competitive products, market trends, audience segments and pricing recommendations
  • Accurate messaging and the positioning of GTM materials most especially around our products and brand solutions
  • Development of relevant GTM materials for use by the sales team
  • Partner with marketing colleagues to develop and execute on targeted campaigns that align to goals and business goals
  • Assist with product launches in collaboration with product team
  • Act as product evangelist, keeping the press and analysts informed of Dodge’s portfolio and progress. Partner with media outlets to evangelize our point of view on the market to the analyst community and to ensure we receive the highest possible ratings
  • Communicate the product’s value proposition to the sales team and develop the sales tools that support the selling process of Dodge products. Collaborate extensively with Sales Enablement on the creation and evolution of our sales content for every segment and function, from initial meeting to final close deck

 

Education Requirement

BA/BS in Marketing, Business Administration or Management is preferred

 

Required Experience, Knowledge and Skills

  • Minimum 8 years of product marketing experience
  • Understanding of commercial construction market trends, customer needs and competitive landscape to shape the marketing strategy and goals
  • Background in B2B, preferably technology, data or SaaS companies within or that serve the Commercial Construction Industry as a big plus
  • A content writing style that can make complex solutions easily understood, mundane actions compelling and engaging
  • Must bring a concise, customer-centric value proposition into every go-to-market message
  • A track record of building and fostering high performing teams; specifically, managing projects, delegating tasks and delivering customer-facing deliverables (e.g. explainer videos)

Salary Disclosure

Base Annual Salary Range: $192,000 – $241,000

 

This represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on factors including geography, candidate experience and expertise, and other job-related factors. Dodge Construction Network’s compensation and rewards package for full time roles includes a market competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and, for applicable roles, uncapped commissions plans or an annual discretionary performance bonus.
