Our core values include Embracing Difference; we seek candidates who are passionate about building a culture that encourages, embraces, and hires dimensions of difference.

The Team

Our Health Modernization Solutions (HMS) team works side by side with customers to articulate a vision for success, and then make it happen. We know success doesn't happen by accident. It takes the right team of people, working together on the right solutions for the customer. We are looking for a seasoned Technical Writer who will be a key driver to make this happen.

The Work

Our team will assist HHS and GSA’s Centers of Excellence (CoE) in building a modern IT enterprise architecture with effective data governance and DevSecOps. Key Responsibilities and Job Duties

  • Ability to transform complex ideas and information into simple, straightforward language

  • Expertise in conducting research and compiling data from subject matter experts and technical personnel to ensure accurate documentation of information

  • Proven background in editing and proofreading to produce professional and accurate documentation

  • Ability to work within an Agile team

  • Work with creatives and software developers to draft technical documents and communication deliverables

  • Provide professional technical writing and editing services on materials such as informational products, presentations, reports, etc., while complying with HHS style guides and quality control measures

  • Provide authoring for SOPs, reports, presentations, and other materials, as requested

  • Research highly technical information and gather input from the development team and customer

  • Coordinate stakeholder input, fact-checking, and integration of written text and graphic design

Required Qualifications

  • 2 years’ experience in technical writing

  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust

  • Candidate must reside in the U.S., be authorized to work in the U.S., and all work must be performed in the U.S.

  • Candidate must have lived in the U.S. for three (3) full years out of the last five (5) years

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field

  • Experience writing software development and/or IT documents

  • Excellent writing skills, as well as the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively.

  • Display a high degree of initiative and ability to work independently under minimum supervision in a fast-paced environment.
