As a Fullstack Developer at Eckler, you will work on a variety of projects, from platforms providing insurance illustration and pension administration services to secure collaboration tools for businesses. We're looking for someone who can tackle both frontend and back-end development, with the potential to grow into areas such as DevOps and cloud management.

Our Technology team builds innovative software for clients in the financial industry sector worldwide. We're seeking a passionate Fullstack Developer to join our growing team.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Build high quality code that meets business, security, and performance requirements
  • Work with senior technical and business domain experts to design a variety of software solutions
  • Support, update, and troubleshoot a variety of existing applications
  • Collaborate with a team of software developers to ensure requirements and deadlines are met
  • Provide mentorship and technical leadership to less experienced developers on the team
  • Develop and support multiple projects as required, managing your own time appropriately and communicating progress and/or concerns to senior team members
  • Participate in project management by ensuring tasks are updated and progress is documented
  • Follow software development workflows for completing work and peer reviewing

What you offer

  • Passion for developing modern, engaging web applications and services
  • Strong skills in both front-end and back-end development
  • Proficiency in modern HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Experience with front-end frameworks (Angular, React, or Vue)
  • Familiarity with back-end languages (C#, Java, Golang, or Node.js)
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs and GraphQL
  • Experience with databases (particularly PostgreSQL)
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and issue-tracking tools
  • Knowledge of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (additional languages are an asset) and strong interpersonal skills
  • A minimum of 3 to 7 years of relevant work experience

 

Assets

  • Experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS)
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines
  • Mobile development experience (Flutter, iOS, or Android)
  • Understanding of financial services industry
  • The ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Interest in expanding skills (e.g., DevOps, cloud architecture)
  • Interest in consulting with clients directly to identify new features or
  • enhancements
