Job Overview

Join our esteemed institution as an Adjunct Cybersecurity Instructor and play a pivotal role in shaping the educational journey of our students through innovative curriculum delivery and instruction. This remote position offers the flexibility to manage your time effectively while dedicating up to 15 hours per week to teaching and supporting our students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver course content in accordance with established syllabi, with a commitment to engaging instruction at least once a week.
  • Collaborate with fellow faculty and department leads to contribute to the creation and enhancement of curriculum in your area of expertise.
  • Evaluate student comprehension of course materials, providing insightful feedback and guidance to facilitate their academic growth.
  • Uphold attendance policies and meticulously maintain student grade records, ensuring timely submissions via our learning management system (LMS).
  • Maintain regular office hours for student engagement, available both in person and through virtual platforms, as outlined in the faculty handbook.
  • Respond promptly to communications from students and colleagues within 48 business hours, reserving one day per week for personal reflection.
  • Ensure reliable internet connectivity to support effective online teaching and video conferencing.

Required Skills

  • A terminal degree in a relevant field is essential.
  • For Bachelor’s programs, a Master’s degree is required, while a Bachelor’s degree suffices for Certificate programs.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of demonstrable experience in a relevant area, including instruction, performance, or professional practice.
  • Alignment with the institution’s core values and commitment to its faith principles is necessary.

Qualifications

  • Previous teaching experience as an instructor or teaching assistant in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Experience in developing curriculum and writing syllabi is highly advantageous.
  • A proven background in similar instructional environments, whether online or on-campus.
  • Exceptional organizational capabilities and prior experience in roles involving customer service, mentoring, or pastoral care are desirable.
  • A growth mindset, adept at navigating institutional transitions while maintaining instructional integrity.
