Job description

Have you heard? Accredo Specialty Pharmacy is now part of Cigna. Together, we’ve got big plans. How big, you ask? Well, we want to change health care to make it more affordable, more personalized, and more focused on helping the whole person to achieve better health outcomes. And that’s only the beginning. Read on to learn more about working with us.

Are you ready to step into a position that combines your communication skills, attention to detail, ability to multitask, and unrelenting drive to help others? We’re looking for certified pharmacy technicians to join our pharmacy team.  If you’ve worked in Pharmacy Operations before, this role is different – you’ll trade in your counting machine and dispensers for a computer and phone.  If you are looking for a break from a retail environment, a set schedule, and the satisfaction of helping others, we’re pretty sure you’ll love this position.

How you’ll make a difference:

  • Be a superstar in the eyes of providers and patients alike: You will partner with physicians and their patients to complete profiles, accurately order medications, and help answer any patient questions by phone.

  • Use your expert problem solving skills to help our patients be at their best every day: Work with patients and doctors to research issues with medication coverage to help patients get the medication they need.

  • Create new knowledge with our systems and new relationships with your peers: You’ll start with training, but you’re not doing it alone.  You’ll enjoy a supportive environment with your peers and other teams who want you to succeed. Speaking of supportive environments, did you know we offer 18 PTO +8 holidays off/year, tuition reimbursement, benefits that start on day one, and 401K match?  Well, now you do.

Location: This is a remote position, but candidate must be located and licensed in Indiana

Hours: M-F 8:30am-5pm Eastern, with one day per week being 11:30am-8:00pm Eastern

What you should have:

  • Valid Indiana Pharmacy technician license/certification/registration required

  • 2 to 3 years of relevant experience as a Pharmacy Technician

  • 1 year of order entry experience required

  • High School Diploma / GED required, a bachelor’s degree is preferred.

  • General PC knowledge including Microsoft Office, use of the internet and email is required

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to build relationships with patients

  • This is a phone-based position. Candidate must be comfortable with making and receiving high volume calls to patients and providers

More about the team:

Through our range of health care products and services offered, Accredo team members provide in-depth care for patients with chronic health conditions like hemophilia, oncology, rheumatoid arthritis and growth hormone deficiency. In addition to health care products, we provide comprehensive management services – including outcomes measurement, counseling, clinical care management programs, social services and reimbursement services. By performing in these very high-touch roles, employees have a daily opportunity to make a positive impact on their patients’ lives.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
