Job Overview

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Child Care Partnership Specialist to join our dynamic team remotely. This vital role involves collaborating with Child Care Partners to deliver exceptional Early Head Start (EHS) services, ensuring that our youngest learners receive the highest quality care and education. As a specialist, you will engage closely with site leaders, educators, and families, providing guidance in aligning their practices with federal Head Start Program Performance Standards. Your efforts will significantly contribute to resource optimization and enhance early childhood development within our communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of Head Start Program Performance Standards Part 1302 and related regulations.
  • Act as the primary liaison for 2-4 assigned Child Care Partners, assisting them in the tailored implementation of EHS services.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives with Child Care Partner leaders to ensure adherence to HSPPS.
  • Design and implement professional development programs for teachers and directors, including training, coaching, and credentialing assistance.
  • Deliver Practice-Based Coaching to EHS teachers, promoting the use of evidence-based curricula, authentic assessment methods, and classroom observations.
  • Collaborate with Child Care Partners to design family engagement initiatives aligned with HSPPS and the Parent, Family, and Community Engagement Framework.
  • Manage processes related to the Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment, and Attendance (ERSEA) system as per HSPPS and program guidelines.
  • Represent our organization positively within the local community, fostering relationships with other agencies and sharing vital resources with programs and families.
  • Facilitate the implementation of comprehensive services by coordinating health screenings with local service providers.
  • Utilize our data management system to document and track program data, contributing to ongoing enhancement efforts.
  • Ensure effective use of the data management system by Child Care Partners for record-keeping and compliance.
  • Advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of your work, consistent with our organization's DEI Statement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support the execution of all programs and services.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Required Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of Head Start Program Performance Standards and relevant regulations.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with proven relationship-building skills.
  • Familiarity with Early Childhood Development theories and practices.
  • Proficient in case management and community engagement strategies.
  • Comfort and aptitude for using technology and data management systems.
  • Excellent customer service acumen and the ability to engage effectively with organizations and individuals.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Social Welfare, Public Administration, or a related human services field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in human services, including at least 1 year in an early childhood setting.
  • Experience working with diverse children and family populations.
  • Understanding of continuous improvement methodologies, change management, and practice-based coaching.
  • A current Colorado Coaching Credential, Family Development Credential (or equivalent), or a commitment to obtaining such credentials.
