Job Overview

We are a renowned regionally accredited institution nestled in the scenic Rocky Mountains, dedicated to offering outstanding educational opportunities primarily in the fields of science and engineering. Our Department of Mathematical Sciences is committed to delivering a superior learning experience, offering undergraduate pathways in Mathematics, including applied mathematics, statistics, and Data Science.

We are pleased to announce a tenure-track Instructor position in Statistics and Mathematics. The selected candidate will have a standard teaching load of 12 credits per semester, with a primary focus on introductory statistics and mathematics courses. Additionally, the successful applicant will lead summer bridge programs in mathematics for incoming students, contributing significantly to our commitment to student success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach 12 credits per semester of introductory statistics and/or mathematics courses.
  • Develop and implement summer bridge programs for incoming students.
  • Engage in curriculum design and coordination of service courses.
  • Actively contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing student success.

Required Skills

  • Master’s degree in statistics, mathematics, or a closely related field.
  • A minimum of 9 credits of graduate-level coursework in mathematics and/or statistics.

Qualifications

  • Previous teaching experience at the college level in mathematics and/or statistics is preferred.
  • Proven capability to teach a diverse array of undergraduate mathematics and statistics courses.
  • Evidence of effective teaching methodologies.
  • Experience with corequisite remediation, summer bridge programs, or similar student success strategies.
