Job Role: Manuals Coordinator/Content Management System Assistant

Location: Hybrid - Remote

Salary: Competitive

What We Can Offer You: Hybrid Working, Performance-Related Bonus, Life Assurance, Additional Holiday Purchase, Health Cash Plan, Subsidised Gym Memberships, Cycle to Work scheme, Discount Vouchers and Access to Wellbeing Resources

Why do we want you?

Are you a tech-savvy professional with a passion for detail and client service?

Mercia Group is seeking a highly motivated Content Management System expert to support the operations of our content management systems (CMS) and assist with the creation of manuals for clients across sectors, from businesses to charities.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail, a knack for problem-solving, and the ability to work under pressure.

If you’re familiar with CMS tools, enjoy working on content and client-facing tasks, and can assist with IT-related issues and complaints, we want to hear from you!

Job purpose, tasks and responsibilities:

You will provide daily support for our Manuals Team, ensuring smooth running of the content management system and providing top-notch service to our clients.

You will be responsible for:

  • Liaising with internal and external IT teams to ensure the CMS is fully operational and troubleshoot any issues
  • Providing first-line support for client product queries and resolving complaints
  • Proofreading and formatting manuals and other documents for accuracy and professional presentation
  • Assisting with the creation and distribution of client newsletters and updates, ensuring the branding and formatting are consistent
  • Supporting administrative processes and improving systems where needed
  • Contributing to the testing, due diligence, and implementation of a new CMS system

What’s the Best Thing About This Role?

You will be integral to maintaining and improving our manual processes, ensuring clients receive the best service and that our content is always accurate and up-to-date.

What’s the Most Challenging Thing About This Role?

With tight deadlines and the need to be reactive to client issues, this role requires someone who can stay calm under pressure and is not afraid to take the initiative.

Essential and desirable capabilities:
  • What We’re Looking For

To be successful in this role, you must have:

    • Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills ideally with the ability to produce client e-mails, updates and newsletters.
    • Experience working with content management systems
    • Ability to handle pressure and tight deadlines
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with both clients and internal teams
    • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word and Excel
    • Creative thinking for formatting emails and newsletters

It would be great if you also have:

    • Knowledge of the accountancy profession (desirable but not essential)
    • Experience using marketing tools like Marketo

We know it’s not a skill, but the successful candidate must have permission to work in the role’s location by the start of their employment.
