Overview:

Nightwing, a $1.8 billion intelligence services company, is seeking a skilled Government Accounting and Compliance Manager to join our team.

This pivotal and highly visible position will concentrate on ensuring organizational compliance with federal regulations (FAR, Agency Supplements) and standards (CAS). Responsibilities include preparation of annual incurred cost submissions, conducting special studies of processes and controls, continuously monitoring and review of transactional data for allowability, and supporting external government audits. This role necessitates exceptional attention to detail and a comprehensive understanding of government cost accounting.  This role reports to the Director of Government Accounting and Compliance and allows for in-office or remote location designation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide expertise in the preparation of annual incurred cost submissions.

Conducts special studies of processes and controls to assist the organization in ensuring financial data is accurate.

Conduct reviews of transactional accounting data, testing on a cyclical basis for allowability of costs.

Co-Lead external Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) and Defense Contract Management Agency reviews and examinations, serving as a company point of contact and working with internal functional groups to support Government inquires.

Assist in the monitoring and updating of respective Cost Accounting Standards Disclosure Statements

Support complex financial initiatives/special projects (i.e. General Dollar Magnitude).

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

Must have at least 8+ years of related professional experience with a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance OR a minimum of 16+ years of related professional experience in lieu of a degree can be substituted. A master’s degree in a related field can substitute 3 years of professional experience.

Significant experience with Cost Accounting Standards, Federal Acquisition

Regulations and their respective Agency supplements.

Experience with DFARS Business Systems

Proficient knowledge of US GAAP.

Proficient with Microsoft Excel to include formula use of: Vlook-Up, Index and match, and Nested If-Statements.

Experience working with the DCAA, DCMA and interpretation of the FAR/CAS standards.

US Citizenship

Desired Skills:

Strong analytical, critical thinking, writing and interpersonal skills are vital to this role, as is the ability to interact with external and internal stakeholders to provide meaningful, practical and effective business relationships.

Advanced certifications or licensures to include CPA, CIA and CFE.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
