Key Responsibilities:

  • Incident management- vast majority of your day-to-day activities would focus around managing live issues and RCA
  • Leading root cause analysis/investigations and raising defects where necessary
  • Work in coordination with L2 & L4 teams
  • Ongoing updates on open issues

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 3+ years in similar technical support role
  • Fluent English speaker (preferably UK based)
  • Intermediate level of knowledge in SQL (select, update, insert, joins, deletes) as a mean of obtaining data / running fixes and identifying data related issues (missing data, failing jobs, mis developed stored procedures etc)
  • Basic knowledge of XMLs (reading, comprehension), event logs, opening log files
  • Experienced in Windows based OS (admin/user perspective)  including all office apps (mainly excel, word, PowerPoint)
  • Proven experience in scripting (batch, VB, PowerShell), common Retail SW architectures, Retail terminology and Web services.
  • Capable of articulating known issues via knowledge articles for future L2/L3 use
  • Strong ability of following issues through logs, identifying new/known issues and logging bugs to L4
  • Vmware - Basic knowledge of VMware architecture / Support
  • Unix / Linux - OS / Troubleshooting (admin)
  • SCCM - Knowledge of software deployment, troubleshooting failures, logs etc.
  • Advantage - Basic knowledge of Visual Studio (TFS) as a support/PM/SME type user and Remedy implementations
  • Advantage - Server Hardware Support / Troubleshooting knowledge
  • Advantage - SAN Hardware troubleshooting knowledge
