The Opportunity:

Provide HR consulting services for assessment, strategy development, and implementation of organizational initiatives. Serve as an integral strategic business partner providing a broad spectrum of human resource support and leadership. Support management and employees in assigned client groups to meet their workforce needs.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Strategic Alignment and Goal Development
  • Partner with clients to understand and assess business direction based on current strategic plans.
  • Assists in creating specific action plans in support of HR-related goals that will meet department needs, address opportunities, capitalize on strengths, and take advantage of opportunities.
  • Participates in the analysis and interpretation of data (engagement, talent acquisition metrics, productivity, patient experience, etc.); and progress of HR related goals.
  • Follow up with leadership regarding the status and progress of their action plans.
  • Strategic Workforce Planning and Management Workforce Plan Implementation – support and collaborate all aspects of employment needs to achieve business goals (talent, learning, well-being, salary/workforce, engagement, and succession planning).
  • Partner with the client to address workforce needs, including but not limited to training, employee relation issues, compensation, providing guidance with goal setting, evaluations, and is a resource for instructions pertaining to related systems.
  • Utilizing HR analytic tools and resources, identify opportunities to assist the client in meeting strategic workforce planning goals related to turnover and/or retention, succession planning and performance management.
  • Organizational Development
  • Collaborate with managers and other HR professionals to improve and sustain performance in assigned business units.
  • Assists with team development sessions to improve effectiveness of team outcomes; may provide leadership advising when applicable.
  • Collaborate with clients and HR leadership regarding the on-boarding process, development of project plans, communication plans and action plans to address quality/safety, productivity, patient experience, and engagement.
  • Provide consulting in the event of consolidation, outsourcing, insourcing and acquisition activities.
  • Client Communication
  • Support the provision of monthly HR updates.
  • Communicate HR initiatives and expectations.
  • Communicate upward feedback to provide clients with candid advice and coaching regarding staff development opportunities.
  • Coordinate and implement HR initiatives with client groups to develop and deliver unit-specific presentations to educate and support client use of HR tools. Participate in business unit meetings as requested by client.
  • Rounds on employees and managers to support the communication and feedback process.
  • Positive Work Environment
  • Partner with and serve as a resource to employees, management and Human Resources staff to promote and maintain positive employee and labor relations. Proactively identify, manage and facilitate the equitable resolution of job-related complaints and concerns.
  • Assists with preparation of position statements and evidence on behalf of the Ensemble in claims related to unemployment, discrimination and other employment-related actions filed with federal/state/local agencies.


Experience We Love:

  • 4 year/ Bachelors Degree
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP or CRCR certification required
  • At least three years of previous human resources experience
  • Knowledge of HR laws
  • Familiarity with MSOffice, Workday desired
