Job description

Overview:

This position is responsible for the administration and efficient operation of full service branch(s) within the assigned region or territory, including operations, lending, product sales, customer service, compliance, security and safety in accordance with the Company’s objectives. This position is also responsible for the supervision of the branch staff by directing and providing leadership; perform a variety of duties to meet the business banking needs of business prospects and customers; develop a presence in the local community; develop a small business banking in the market area and support and refer larger deals to the Commercial Lending Officer.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that customer service is consistently maintained at a high level, that staff clearly understands service expectations and that all employees have the skills and training to provide the highest level of customer service.
  • Ensure that all employees are informed and focused through regular branch meetings that communicate: sales results.
  • Responsible for the accurate and timely completion of monthly branch audit reports, quarterly FDICIA reports, and other related reports as assigned by the Community Banking Division Manager.
  • Fully versed on Small Business loans and able to discuss with business customers.
  • Develop a presence in the community networking with local leaders and the business community.
  • Implement strategies through development of Bank Business Plan to achieve goals assigned.
  • Serve as a member of the Company’s sales team.
  • Maintain a full understanding of both small business and consumer lending.
  • Review employee performance throughout the introductory period and on a regularly scheduled basis thereafter.
  • Inform personnel of pertinent policies and procedures affecting the unit and/or their job.
  • Provide sales information on a timely basis in order that this information may be included as part of the sales performance reports.
  • Ensure the branch’s Policy and Procedure Manuals are up-to-date and review new policies and procedures with branch staff as needed.
  • Work with the Security Officer to recover fraudulent losses.
  • May fill in at any of the company’s other branch locations and/or assume supervisory responsibilities, as required.
  • Communicate with the Supervising Branch Manager, other office managers and appropriate staff personnel in order to integrate activities.
  • Assist in the selection of new personnel as appropriate; make provisions for the proper orientation and training of new personnel.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a related role. Specialized Banking education and training preferred.
  • Demonstrated management and supervisory skills.
  • Will require Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) registration to assist with the consumer and residential lending process. 
  • Proficient in sales process; including recognizing and suggesting products and achieving referral goals.
  • Strong interpersonal relations and communication skills (oral and written).
  • Demonstrated strong customer service skills.
  • Proficient PC skills.
