Engineering Manager

A logistics client is seeking an Engineering Manager responsible for building, growing, and managing our engineering teams in Turkey while representing our company within the tech ecosystem. You will collaborate closely with our Berlin-based teams and tech leadership, ensuring strategic alignment and seamless coordination across regions.

Note: Hybrid setup with six days a month on-site - ARI Teknokent, Istanbul.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and oversee the FinTech engineering team in Istanbul, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions.
• Explore and implement cutting-edge software design patterns to address complex challenges in the FinTech domain.
• Actively participate in recruiting and developing top engineering talent.
• Work closely with the partner Berlin team to ensure alignment of objectives, share progress updates, and collaborate on global initiatives.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the engineering team.
• Make informed decisions in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, balancing technical and managerial responsibilities.

• Previous technical engineering experience and leadership or managerial role.
• Proficiency in large-scale architectural patterns, event-driven microservices, well-designed APIs, and efficient algorithms.
• Strong skills in NodeJS, JavaScript/TypeScript, MongoDB, message queuing systems, Kubernetes/Docker, and AWS/GCP.
• Proven ability to build relationships, act as a culture ambassador, and collaborate effectively across teams.
• A highly adaptable and motivated individual comfortable with ambiguity and capable of making informed decisions with limited information.
