SUMMARY:
Pierre Fabre is a large private French multinational pharmaceutical and cosmetics company building a new US oncology division. We are looking for creative, highly motivated individuals to help to drive the successful launch of our investigational therapy, potentially the first allogeneic T-cell immunotherapy approved in the US. Patients with a history of bone marrow or solid organ transplant can suffer from this rare, often deadly lymphoma, which currently has no approved FDA therapies.
Director of Market Access Strategy will play a critical role in facilitating urgent access to the investigational therapy. He or she will develop the strategy, run the tactics, and train the US Market Access field team to execute the strategy. A successful candidate must have deep knowledge of inpatient and outpatient reimbursement dynamics and the ability to translate this knowledge into streamlined tactics. This is an exciting opportunity to launch a new class of advanced therapeutics while making a meaningful impact in the lives of patients with a life-threatening disease.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Deliver an evidence-based, refined value story designed to assist the field teams in securing pater coverage
- Develop payer-engagement tactics aligned with value story (AMCP dossier, value slides, budget impact model)
- Develop reimbursement-related provider-focused tactics (reimbursement model, supportive slides, etc)
- Train field personnel on tactics and support the teams when the tactics are fielded.
- Lead annual US Market Access Planning process
- Collaborate closely with other Pierre Fabre functions; support those functions with market access expertise and input into their planning and execution
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Deep knowledge inpatient and outpatient reimbursement.
- Experience in demonstrating value with commercial, Medicaid, and medicare payers. This includes experience in developing slides, dossiers, and models—independently or with external vendors
- Experience in leading strategy development and planning
- Rare diseases and/or oncology experience is highly desirable
- Experience with biologics; cell or gene therapy experience is highly desirable
- Experience with or knowledge of inpatient and outpatient reimbursement dynamics
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 10+ years of biotech/pharma required with at least 8 years of direct experience in payer account management
- Scientific curiosity, creativity, and flexibility
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment with high expectations
- Ability to appropriately access and handle business information in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and / or Pierre Fabre policies
- A passion for making a difference in the lives of patients
