Fieldpiece is hiring a new Director of Sales for the East Coast territory as the current Director just got promoted!  In this role, you’ll work with our extensive distributor network and independent sales agents to achieve sales targets and market share growth.  You’ll travel within your territory to meet, train, and inspire front-line sales to grow Right Stuff coverage at the branch level and ensure SKU penetration.  You’re the face of Fieldpiece and will ensure our product, marketing and related displays and representations meet Fieldpiece quality and service standards and perpetuate our culture and values.

 

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of B2B sales experience in the HVACR and/or tools industry, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to travel 60% in the US.  You’re analytical, relationship-focused, and driven to succeed.  You’ll work remotely and must live in the East Coast territory that you’ll cover – essentially OH to LA and east.

What You’ll Do

  • Proactively engage with field sales personnel (Fieldpiece and agency), distributors, contractors and technicians, to nurture, generate and develop new business to meet specified sales goals.
  • Regularly assesses territory sales and helps distributors/agents meet budget expectations, providing guidance on corrective actions for improvement or sustainability for overachievement.
  • Responds to all inquiries and requests in a timely, professional and ethical manner including pricing, credit terms, etc.
  • Using your thorough knowledge of Fieldpiece product usage, functionality and information, trains / educates others on Fieldpiece products with the intent of converting to sales.
  • Continually gathers information on local competition and prevalent industry and business climate within the region.
  • Reports weekly on behaviors and activities completed, including active and appropriate use of a CRM system.

What You Bring

  • High level of ethics, honesty and moral compass.
  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience; specifically working in a distribution and independent sales agent network.
  • Must be a self-starter and proactive with a commitment to excellence and high standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to all levels within an organization. 
  • Exceptional sales-related analytical skills with good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions. 
  • Creative, flexible, and innovative team player.  Strong organizational skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Charismatic, good listener and willing to be effective ambassador and spokesperson for the company, brand, culture, mission, vision and values.
