Job description

Cigna Medicare is working on delivering best-in-class technology solutions to support the growing market.  The Medicare Tech Ops team is looking for a release and change manager combination that not only supports application teams on their path to production, but also can look at complete releases holistically.  This role does entail implementation management as a component of the overall role.  It will contain change management principles and will help shape the future of the change management process.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintaining release content and tracking version control for applications in each environment

  • Collaborate with IT and business staff for implementation planning (including order of activities, check outs, back outs, ops readiness, and various go-live activities)

  • Help construct release calendar per environment for applications

  • Help identify improvements to process and help drive improvements into our processes

  • Maintain documentation related to procedures and processes

  • Conduct go/no-go calls prior to release

  • Ensure release approvals are collected before deployments begin

  • Identify, document, and work through release dependencies, risks, and issues; escalating as needed

  • Conduct calls that orchestrate late night deployments of assigned applications

  • Document and report on changes in our system’s of truth

  • Build a simple, well-thought out change management process to support Medicare business going forward

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or greater) in computer science, information systems, mathematics, or related field.

  • Have at least 3 years of relevant work experience

  • Experience working with IT infrastructure and IT application teams

  • Experience with change management ITIL processes

  • Experience with ServiceNow

  • Experience with MS Project or equivalent software for order of activities

  • Experience working change management, release management, and/or implementation management

  • Takes initiative, go-getter attitude a must!


If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 106,200 - 177,000 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
